Northern Quest Resort & Casino’s new 250-room hotel and spa opened its doors on December 31st, 2009 thanks to the FF&E and OS&E procurement expertise of The Parker Company. The contemporary hotel features sophisticated technology and a world-class spa in an urban lodge environment, making it one of the region’s most unique destination resorts. The Resort and related infrastructure represent an investment exceeding $200 million which includes over 22,000 square feet of meeting room space.
Parker effectively handled the FF&E and OS&E procurement of all areas of the new resort including rooms, suites, existing casino renovation/expansion and Masselow’s fine dining restaurant where guests are greeted in Salish, the native language of the Kalispel Tribe.
OS&E Project Director Nikki Ravitz was on site during the final stage of the installation. “Opening a major resort during the winter holidays is an extra challenge. Suppliers and freight carriers are caught in the holiday rush, factories shut down and labor is working at holiday speed. We felt some extra supervision during this opening period was important to a successful opening.”
“This is a proud moment for the Kalispel Tribe,” said Chairman of the Kalispel Tribe, Glen Nenema. “We are investing in our people and our communities. I am proud of what we are building today for future generations.”The Kalispel Tribe of Indians has over 400 members. The Tribe’s headquarters is located in Usk, WA on the Pend Oreille River. The Kalispel Tribe has donated over $5 Million to multiple charities and non-profits.
