The United States finally has a Radisson Blu hotel in an architecturally striking building named the Aqua Tower. The very first Radisson Blu on US soil opened to paying guests on November 1, 2011, thanks to the help of TPC. The Parker Company was chosen by Carlson to provide FF&E procurement for the public areas and procurement of all OS&E products.
According to Hotel Chatter, “This place is amenity heaven, from the French toiletries in the room to the ginormous fitness center and everyone we encountered was beyond nice.” With free WiFi in the fooms and a sleek new look the Blu has that “wow” factor. The rooms have accessories like mirrored pottery and slick wood headboards to compliment the teal carpeting. The restaurant is Italian, the bar is large and modern, and the seating is the sort where it’s see-and-be-seen. An added feature are the private balconies. Chicago may be the Windy City, but private outdoor space is much appreciated. Even in the lowest category room, you can see both the Wrigley Building and Navy Pier.
