TPC MIAMI SELECTED FOR NEW WORLD SYMPHONY’S FRANK GEHRY BUILDING

The Parker Company’s Miami office was selected to orchestrate the FF&E procurement for the new 150 million dollar home to the New World Symphony’s new campus and Florida’s first Frank Gehry building. The New World Symphony, titled “America’s Orchestral Academy” provides three-year fellowships to top graduates of the United States’ leading musical conservatories and universities.

The NWS board of directors and Hines selected TPC to perform under a compressed time frame, primarilty to ensure the opening date is met and that the building is ready for transfer of the NWS campus and their first performance. Board Member Helene Lindenfeld stated, “With our tight schedule, we knew that Parker’s experience and expertise would have us ready for opening night.”

The architecturally focused building features a a variable seating, recording/webcast/performance space with 360 degree projection capability; a digital music library; 26 individual rehearsal rooms, six ensemble rehearsal rooms and a multi purpose space, all equipped with Internet2 technology for long distance learning.
